Born in Pearland, Texas, Turner was a highly recruited high school athlete and joined Notre Dame, where she quickly became one of the best two-way forwards in the country.
At Notre Dame, Turner was a four-time All-American, led her team in rebounding and shot-blocking, and played a pivotal role in the 2018 NCAA Championship run, helping the Fighting Irish win the national title. Despite suffering a torn ACL in 2017, she bounced back to finish her collegiate career as one of Notre Dame’s all-time leaders in rebounds and blocks.
Brianna Turner was drafted 11th overall in the 2019 WNBA Draft by the Atlanta Dream, but her rights were traded to the Phoenix Mercury, where she has spent her career.
