Born on May 11, 1994, in Folkston, Georgia, Williams honed her skills at Charlton County High School before becoming a standout at University of South Florida (2012–2016). She earned WBCA Coaches’ All-American honors, led USF in scoring, rebounding, and ranked among the all-time leaders in points, rebounds, and assists. Her jersey (#10) now hangs in the school’s Hall of Fame.
Williams was selected 8th overall in the 2016 WNBA Draft by the Phoenix Mercury, then traded to the Connecticut Sun. Her career included stops with the Atlanta Dream, Chicago Sky, and overseas teams before landing with the Minnesota Lynx in 2024.
In 2023 with Chicago, she transitioned into a full-time point guard—starting all 40 games—averaging career highs in assists (6.3), rebounds (6.0), and contributing two triple-doubles.
Since joining Minnesota, Williams became central to their offense. In 2024, she helped lead the team to the WNBA Finals, delivering clutch mid-range shots, elite rebounding for her size, and 44.4% three-point shooting in the playoffs.
She earned her second career All-Star nod in 2025, putting up stellar numbers: 14.1 PPG, 6.1 APG, 4.9 RPG, and shooting 38.5% from three.
