Rickea Jackson was born on March 16, 2001, in Detroit, Michigan. Growing up, she developed a love for basketball at an early age and was regarded as one of the top recruits in the country by the time she finished high school. She attended Detroit Edison Public School Academy, where she helped lead her team to state championships and was ranked among the best forwards nationally.

Her standout performances earned her opportunities to represent USA Basketball, further solidifying her reputation as an elite prospect.

College Career

Jackson began her college career at Mississippi State (2019–2022), where she quickly became the team’s leading scorer. She was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team (2020) and earned multiple All-SEC selections during her time there.

In 2022, she transferred to the University of Tennessee, where she elevated her game even further. With the Lady Vols, she averaged over 19 points and 6 rebounds per game, becoming one of the most reliable offensive weapons in the SEC.
