Born on August 2, 1990, in South Bend, Indiana, Diggins was a standout at Washington High School, scoring over 2,700 points — one of the highest all-time in state history. She played her college ball at Notre Dame (2009–2013), where she ranked first in school history in both points and steals and won back-to-back Nancy Lieberman Awards as the nation’s top point guard.
