The 2026 season is months away now, and fans are excited to see Caitlin Clark back on the floor after she missed the majority of the last season due to injury. Clark also shared her excitement with the CBA deal and is raring to go on the court for the Fever team.

The 2012 WNBA Champion and Finals MVP with the Indiana Fever team has been associated with the franchise for a long time, and once again sees a spark in the team that could challenge for the title. Ahead of the 2026 season, she shared her experience, which is part of advice for the Fever playmaker.
Answering the precautions after return from injury and how it can be applicable for Clark, she said, “The great thing for her is that she played USA Basketball and had the opportunity to compete at a high level overseas. Coming back into it, she’s already been playing at an elite level.”

“For me, coming back from injury was really about trust; trusting my teammates and getting myself back to 100 percent. More than anything, it’s the mental piece. Getting over that fear of re-injury. Once you get past that, it becomes about trusting the team. I think we have a really good core in Indy, and hopefully they can keep building,” Catchings added.

It’s a very unique situation. I think there’s over a hundred players in the league that are free agents, so we really only know about five people, or three people that are going to be on our team next year. But I feel like we have a great core. You know our first priority is to sign Kelsey Mitchell back.”

While the veteran guard played a vital role in the team’s success, the Fever team also has Aliyah Boston, who recently mentioned that she worked on skills to make a bigger impact in the upcoming season.
