The Indiana Fever achieved one milestone in the injury-hit season—reaching the postseason. While players celebrated the qualification in the locker room, head coach Stephanie White had a strong reaction to it. The architect of this moment was Kelsey Mitchell, who led the side in scoring and was efficient.
The franchise endorsed the star guard for the MVP accolade and also an All-NBA selection. The MVP race is getting intense, and A’ja Wilson and Napheesa Collier are seen as front-runners. But the Fever guard might have a lead already, with Tamika Catchings showing her support.

The Indiana Fever clinched the playoff spot with a win over the Washington Mystics. Since the All-Star game, the team has lost many players to injuries, yet it has an 11-9 record. She had a slow start to the season, but after her late surge, Mitchell’s chances improved in the MVP power rankings. When it came to the MVP award, franchise legend Tamika Catchings showed her support for the Fever guard and openly declared her vote.
When the Indiana Fever campaigned for the 29-year-old guard, the franchise’s finals MVP reshared the post and wrote, “Yes!!! Got My Vote For sure”.

Catching congratulated the guard and said, “Records are meant to be broken. But if there’s anybody I’m glad to see break it, it’s you. I’m super proud of you. Let’s go, Fever. Get that dub.”
Incidentally, after the record-setting game, the 29-year-old guard continued to dominate on the offensive end and led the side in scoring.
