The WNBA is struggling to find its footing at the moment with pressure from players, fans, new emerging leagues, and unfinished CBA business. Amidst this, there is still a lot of hype for the WNBA draft, as fans and analysts expect the league to resume regularly on its scheduled dates. So, everyone’s eyes are on the new talents coming in, including the top 5 WNBA draft prospects and Awa Fam, who is leading the foreign group of players.
While the Spanish sensation has already made some news and caught the attention of many fans and franchises, there are two other stars worth considering for the draft.
Top Two European Prospects In 2026 WNBA Draft Other Than Awa Fam
It is worth noting that over the last three seasons, the WNBA All-Rookie team has featured at least two players from outside the USA, and some of them haven’t participated in the NCAA tournament either. In 2025, both Dominique Malonga and Janalle Salaun made the cut based on their gameplay, despite the cultural differences.

Recently, Janelle Salaun got brutally honest about one surprising trait of the American people, yet she made her mark on the league, earning high praise from her teammates and coach with selection in the All-Rookie first team.
Similarly, Awa Fam proved the 2026 WNBA Draft no. 1 pick potential in EuroLeague action, which could be a very interesting prospect for any franchise. The other two worth noting players are Nell Angloma and Iyana Martin.
Nell Angloma
The forward displayed her talents on the world stage, helping the French team thrive in the U-19 World Cup. The 6-foot-1 player possesses good size, athleticism, and defensive acumen that allow her to control the wing. She is also a multi-level scorer and can create many of her own shots.

Putting up a strong performance against Lyon, she scored 29 points, grabbed nine rebounds, dished out four assists, blocked two shots, and stole the ball, showcasing her overall gameplay against a top European team. She failed to score in double digits only three times this season and maintained a high offensive game.
While the 2026 draft is full of forwards, the player is worth mentioning, considering her age and potential on the floor.
Iyana Martin
It’s hard to get a good ball handler in the WNBA from European basketball, but Iyana Martin might as well change this narration. She is one of the top Spanish prospects, boasting numerous accolades, including MVP at the 2023 U19 World Cup and EuroLeague Young Player of the Year in 2025, already under her belt.

Offensively implacable, the Spanish guard already scored more than 15 points in four of her nine games so far in the 2025 season. While she is a strong driver to the basket, she is also a solid mid-range scorer.

Martin’s 3-point shot hasn’t been falling consistently so far, but she is not afraid to let it fly and has already had some efficient shooting performances. She has also amassed 36 assists and 13 steals.
