If the WNBA is showing progress, the Unrivaled is growing even faster. Recently, the Unrivaled league boosted its valuation to $340M after securing $50 million in the latest funding round. With that, the league also added two new teams, making it an eight-franchise tournament.
Twelve new spots are now available in the competition, and the Unrivaled recently filled up the spots with two rookie All-Stars alongside Paige Bueckers. Looking to keep the excitement and competition at its peak, the women’s new basketball league added fresh and All-Star-level players to the rosters.
Unrivaled Adds Three Rookie All-Stars Including Paige Bueckers
As the WNBA 2025 season is closing, the hype for the Unrivaled league is starting to take traction. The 3-on-3 women’s basketball league enjoyed a successful first season in early 2025 and is now adding more firepower with new stars and popular names.

With the new additions announcements, the league completed the signing of a trio of Rookie All-Stars – Paige Bueckers, Sonia Citron, and Kiki Iriafen. The addition of rookie stars certainly aligns with the competition’s aim to provide a platform for the young and talented stars, a space to showcase their abilities.
“If we didn’t expand rosters, there were going to be All-Stars [wanting to join] who we didn’t have space for. We want to be the home for all of the best players in the world,” league president Alex Bazzell told ESPN when the expansion was made public.

Iriafen, Citron, and Bueckers created history in the WNBA with their All-Star selections and are now looking to take on the 3-on-3 competition. The UConn star is not just another player in the league, though; she is connected to the Unrivaled in multiple ways.
Paige Bueckers Among Unrivaled’s Top Earners
The 2025 WNBA Rookie of the Year winner is not just another player in the Unrivaled but a marquee signing for the league. She has one of the highest compensation contracts, matching veteran superstars like Sabrina Ionescu and Brittney Griner. Moreover, the league signed her for three seasons, making her a prominent figure in the lineup.
Apart from her player contract, PB is an investor in the Unrivaled, allowing her higher profit shares from the league.
“I mean, investments in women’s sports — I feel like the return on investment has been amazing. Even in the first year [of Unrivaled], the numbers were shocking. They just blew it out of the water. And just to invest so much in women’s sports, it’s growing at an all-time high, and it’s just a great time to be in women’s sports,” Bueckers said, confirming her investment in the league.
It looks like the Wings’ star has already started her business ventures with her playing career in year one.
