The Unrivaled League’s season 2 had a grand opening night, with all eight teams starting their campaigns. Many fans were eagerly awaiting the debut of several rookies in the game after they impressed in the WNBA. One such much-awaited star was Paige Bueckers, who also thrived in her debut season.
Bueckers earned “superstar” praise from the Unrivaled League Commissioner for her outing on the 3-on-3 format. But now, she will face the most formidable challenge in season 2.

Chelsea Gray vs Paige Bueckers Showdown
The Rose BC had been a dominating force in the Unrivaled’s inaugural season. Chelsea Gray’s offence and Angel Reese’s control of the paint region were a lethal combination for the Rose side. Sadly, Reese opted out of season 2. Still, Gray reportedly steps up for a major Rose BC role, handing the defending champions a 2-0 start.
She’s averaging 29 points, five rebounds, 6.5 assists, and two steals per game. Another player with such an all-around impact in games is, of course, PB, who put the expansion team on the map with their 2-0 run and averages 20 points, 7.5 rebounds, six assists, and 1.5 blocks.
The matchup everyone has been waiting on is finally here. Chelsea Gray and Paige Bueckers will be on the floor tomorrow as Rose BC and Breeze BC meet in a showdown with a (3–0) start on the line.

Rickea Jackson earlier revealed the secret sauce to Breeze BC’s success and will be hoping to see it work against the Rose BC. As for Chelsea Gray, though, she is in awe of the Wings’ guard.
Chelsea Gray Praises Paige Bueckers’ Skillset
The 2025 rookie was one of the exciting stars in the WNBA, winning the Rookie of the Year award with ease. She even earned a call to the USA senior team camp, where many senior players were stunned by her ball-handling skills. The Aces’ guard also heaps praise on the former UConn star.
Gray said, “They can add to my bag. There are some new things. Paige did a little in-and-out and hook layup in practice, and I was like, ‘I’mma try that and add that to the bag.’ We talk about Caitlin’s range and being able to do that off the dribble. So, I want to get better off the dribble.”
While the Olympian looks to learn from the rookie, she will also aim to put up a challenge in the upcoming game to maintain her unbeaten run.
