The stage was ready, and a mystery was already surrounding the unidentified egg near the Chase Center. While fans had access to it but from a safe distance. Finally, on the birdwatchers’ night, during a game against the Connecticut Sun, the Golden State Valkyries revealed Violet, a bird coming out of the egg.
The franchise introduced it as its mascot during the halftime show. Fans were thrilled to have an official mascot for the expansion franchise, and a packed arena cheered for the ‘new addition’ to the family.

Fans were already excited for the team’s first season, and now they have a new cheerleader in the mix—Violet The Raven.
The team had a very dramatic introduction to its mascot. Before the actual revelation, a wildlife expert hired by the team checked on an Easter egg outside Chase Center. He predicted there’s a “bird species” inside, and it’s about to crack open. The franchise kept the egg inside the arena in a special nest.

They even shared every update, leading to the egg’s actual hatching. On the actual revelation, the franchise even showed the broken egg process, with the team’s cheerleader dressed hanging nearby. Later, there were violet feathers were around the arena, hinting at the bird’s birth.
