Burton’s 2025 season with the Valkyries was nothing short of a breakout. She started all 44 regular-season games, putting up career-high averages.
The star point guard had around 11.9 points, 6.0 assists, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game. However, her development didn’t go unnoticed.

Veronica won the WNBA Most Improved Player for 2025, and much of that improvement in her play came in handy for the Valkyries’ team composition.

Beyond the WNBA, Burton’s international resume got a boost as well. She made it to the U.S. women’s 3×3 team for the 2025 FIBA 3×3 AmeriCup, alongside veterans and rising stars.
The Americans got off to a strong start with 21-10 over Brazil, then 21-15 over Jamaica, and with Burton right there contributing to the team’s early success.
