The Las Vegas Aces vs. Minnesota Lynx came to the limelight for all things Lynx. After all, when was the last time a WNBA game saw a team obliterate its opponent by 53 points? Making a strong case for the championship, it was the Lynx who won with a score of 111-58. Yet, all of these got overshadowed by a baby!
Yes, you heard that correctly. Babies came into the show at the stroke of halftime. With the Aces trying to figure out their next moves, babies took full control of the hardwood. However, while everyone was trying to battle their way to glory, one particular participant blatantly cheated. And despite that, the baby’s parents were the proudest.
Baby Walks Instead Of Crawling As Las Vegas’ Sombre Outing Gets Interesting
It all started with a baby crawling race. With the revenues coming in thick and fast, the WNBA is devising more ways to make the game a better overall product for its audience. As part of a special halftime segment, a baby race was arranged, making the crowd get on the edge of their seats immediately.
10 babies participated in the race. And their aim was pretty simple. The babies had to crawl to the other end. With their parents waiting, the one getting to its parent first would be the winner. As the whistle was blown, all the babies started crawling, presenting an adorable sight. But one among them, took a sizable lead halfway into the race.
With the rest of the competition firmly put behind, the little one pulled off something that left the crowd stunned. In the middle of the race, the baby girl stopped crawling. She went up on her knees. And eventually stood up upright to run to her mother. Astonished at the sight, her mother looked utterly elated. It was the first step for the baby, and it came in such a grand manner. Although walking in a crawling race is cheating, the baby was awarded as the rightful winner of the race.
Post the race, the baby received a big hug from her mother. And looking at the spectacle, fans could not stop commenting on social media.
