Kelsey Plum might have just fueled a furious rivalry with Caitlin Clark with her latest move. The Los Angeles Sparks’ star point guard recently got into a sideline moment with one of the Indiana Fever fans.
Plum and the Los Angeles Sparks were in action against the Chicago Sky on Sunday night. However, Sky ultimately had the game night with a 92-85 victory over the Sparks. Despite doing her best to lead the team, it still wasn’t enough as the Sparks suffered their 12th defeat this season.
Kelsey Plum Points Out Caitlin Clark For Her Jersey
Right before the game night against the Sky, Kelsey Plum got into a one-off moment with a fan wearing a Caitlin Clark jersey. While she had her free will to rock whichever jersey she wanted, it did not sit well with the two-time WNBA champion.
A video recently went viral where Plum was captured the three-time WNBA All-Star proactively approaching the fan and pointing her out for the Clark shirt. Plum gave the fan a different shirt for her to put on before posing for a photo with her.

Moreover, Plum can also be heard telling the fan to “do better” next time.
It is fair to say that Plum wanted to take a photo with a fan wearing a Clark shirt. While the moment has gone viral on the internet, it seems like the Fever fans might be taking notes of her actions. This is why it was quite interesting to see one of her fans at Crypto.com Arena proudly wearing a Clark shirt.

Whatever the case might be, Plum was still gracious enough to take a picture with the fan, even though it was only after the fan covered her Clark shirt. That said, it’s interesting to note the relationship between the two. While Plum and Clark don’t always see eye to eye, there does seem to be mutual respect as the former recently defended Clark for her recent shooting slump.
Kelsey Plum Opens Up On Caitlin Clark’s Shooting Slump
Caitlin Clark has been one of the best shooters in the WNBA. She is constantly getting praise for her shooting accuracy and her signature logo threes. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case lately. For those unaware, Clark has hit just 1-of-23 from long range in her last three games.
Interestingly, she is not alone in this struggle. Several other players are feeling the same effects, too. New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu has been on a rough patch as well, shooting 3-of-19 over her last three outings. Moreover, Kelsey Plum from the Los Angeles Sparks shared some thoughts on social media. She spoke about why so many players are dealing with these slumps.
“Cause we’re tired,” Plum commented on an Instagram post that pointed out the recent shooting slump in the WNBA. That said, fatigue seems to be taking a toll, and it’s something that’s come up in conversations recently.
