Caitlin Clark is a crowd favorite. Be it her antics inside the court or outside of it. For example, as the Fever star debuted a ripped look recently, Clark jokingly challenged Kate Martin to a fight. And now, when she was out for the entirety of the previous season, the anticipation for her return is pretty much shooting through the roof.
After all, who doesn’t want to see Clark in action? Much to the delight of the fans, Clark recently celebrated her selection to the Team USA roster. Unfortunately, as per a WNBA analyst, this very selection to Team USA might cause a big problem in the coming days.

Will Caitlin Clark Make The Team USA Starting Lineup?
The problem of plenty has hit Team USA now. With a roster brimming with talent, Kara Lawson is all set to face some weird problems now. In a recent discussion on the ‘Courtside Club’ podcast, WNBA analyst Rachel DeMita made some important observations.
She pointed out that Team USA has to choose between Clark and Chelsea Gray as a starter. And whatever the choice might be, there will be a widespread backlash criticizing why the other person was not selected.
“It will be very interesting to see the lineups that they choose, and I’m sure the discourse around WNBA Twitter will be very civil, not! Somebody’s going to be mad whether Chelsea Gray is starting or whether Caitlin Clark is starting. Somebody, somewhere, is going to be mad. That’s just how the discourse is around this league,” said DeMita.

Well, the argument is really strong. Gray, at 33 years old, is dropping some impressive numbers. She is a four-time WNBA champion. Interestingly, three of those four titles came when she was a part of the formidable Las Vegas Aces lineup. Apart from that, Gray has also won the gold medal in the 2022 FIBA World Cup. Thus, choosing between her and Clark will be a monumental task.
Meanwhile, with Clark getting all the spotlight at the moment, Paul Pierce had an interesting point to raise about the Indiana Fever star.
Why Did Paul Pierce Differ With Reggie Miller’s Caitlin Clark Comparison?

Looking at the impressive surge of the 23-year-old star, Reggie Miller compared Clark to Payton Pritchard. However, soon after the comment went viral, most fans did not like what they were hearing. Echoing the fans’ sentiments, Paul Pierce contradicted Miller’s statement with some facts of his own.
Pierce said, “Like she had the look of like Bro, I was thinking more Steph Curry. Her skill set and her magnetic pull. They’re not doubling him everywhere face guarding denying him like they do her like they do Steph.”

He further added, “Did you see her in the USA game in the Olympic game where they were like deny they’re picking her up full? He doesn’t lead the team in scoring I love Payton that’s my little brother. Her gravitational pull is on the same level as Steph’s in the WNBA.”
Thus, with a lot going on, fans will be eager to find out what’s next.
