The WNBA realm just cannot stop discussing Angel Reese, it seems. Following her controversial comments against her teammates, a lot has happened. Reese herself issued an apology to her teammates. Next up, she was being handed a half-game ban by the Sky front office for her remarks. Yet, there are new developments coming in almost every day. While the Sky star has faced a lot of backlashes recently, the one from Candace Parker was particularly pretty harsh. And now, Natalie Esquire has lashed out at Parker.
The 23-year-old rookie star pointed out how the team needs to add quality players to the squad. Then she went on to state that if the team fails to do so, the Chi-town Barbie will be looking to explore options outside of Chicago. And while this might sound pretty controversial, Esquire had her own take on the matter.
Natalie Esquire Goes Against Candace Parker To Back Angel Reese
The Chicago Sky has been one of the biggest letdowns in the past couple of seasons. Last season, they ended up with their worst record in history. This season too, the Sky has concluded their campaign with a 10-34 win-loss record. Thus, speaking on the issue, WNBA analyst spoke out her heart recently. Taking on Parker, Esquire pointed out that previously, Parker herself and a lot of other athletes have criticized the team publicly.

Thus, she did not get why Reese’s comments seemed so disturbing to so many people. Esquire also opined that sometimes, going public is the only way to improve things. “Haven’t multiple former Sky players spoken publicly about the org? So if it hasn’t resolved already, I don’t think keeping it in-house will produce a better/different result,” Esquire wrote.

Jeff Pagliocca Ensures That Angel Reese Is Here To Stay
The rumors had been spreading like wildfire. And with Reese skipping the final regular-season game, the fire got further added fuel. Thankfully, for the ones who did not want Reese to leave Chicago, Pagliocca had good news for them. He detailed that the front office has already dealt with the situation internally and has moved on. On the contrary, there were no possibilities of the 23-year-old rookie star leaving the franchise as of now.

“Angel is an ascending young talent in this league who’s had two very, very good seasons here in Chicago. Obviously we went through what we did. I feel like we closed the chapter on it. She spoke to her teammates, she spoke publicly. We moved on as a team. She’s a special player. And I have good conversations with Angel daily, with her team daily. They’re constant, and they’re productive,” said Pagliocca.
Well, even with Pagliocca’s clarification, the noises are not looking to stop. Fans, however, will be eagerly waiting to see how things pan out in the future.
