Angel Reese garnered quite a pop following her debut in the WNBA realm. And soon after, she was in the limelight quite constantly. Unfortunately, not every attention she got was positive.
Be it her rift with Caitlin Clark or her ‘mebounds’ controversy, the Chicago Sky star had her share of negativities. Only recently, Reese got trolled for her ‘I miss hoops’ post. And now, once again, she is getting the flak from her fans online. This time, it also involves the CBA negotiations.
False Claims Surface Regarding Angel Reese Making Surprising Statement Amidst CBA Tension
The WNBA realm has been plagued by the CBA talks recently. Players have been actively pleading to offer them an enhanced revenue-sharing model. As of now, while the NBA offers 49% of its revenues, the WNBA athletes get only 7%.

This has prompted the likes of Napheesa Collier to come out and criticize league commissioner Cathy Engelbert. With the tensions growing, the WNBA has requested the WNBPA to extend the CBA deadline by 30 days.
And in the middle of all this, posts on social media falsely claimed that the Chicago Sky star dropped a bombshell. In a recent statement, Reese was falsely accused of saying that she will not play until the WNBA gives her NBA-level pay.
The 23-year-old was misquoted in those posts as they read, “I promise you, we aren’t going to play unless we get NBA money.”
