Parker collected 1,634 assists for the Los Angeles Sparks, Chicago Sky, and the Las Vegas Aces before hanging up her jersey in 2023. She was in eighth place in the WNBA’s all-time assists ladder.
She has now dropped to 10th place after New York Liberty guard Natasha Cloud and Seattle Storm guard Skylar Diggins smashed her record. They now have 1,638 assists each.
Cloud dished out four assists in the Liberty’s come-from-behind win over the Atlanta Dream, 79-72. She also had two points and two steals. Diggins also tallied four assists on top of 10 points in the Storm’s tough loss to the Washington Mystics, 74-69. However, the Liberty improved to 14-6, while the Storm dropped to 13-9.
The 33-year-old Cloud and the 34-year-old Diggins are two of the league’s top playmakers. Their veteran leadership and court savvy have made them indispensable cogs to their respective teams.
