The WNBA-CBA situation is not at all looking bright at the moment. As the league is staring at a possible lockout, the WNBPA hit back at the authorities with a unique Valentine’s Day poem. At the moment, there is no clarity on when the free agency or the WNBA draft will drop, either.
Such a scenario has made the players significantly worried about their future. Thankfully, understanding the gravity of the situation, NBA commissioner Adam Silver recently urged all the parties to sort things out.

WNBA Insider Drops Surprising Reason Behind Adam Silver’s Urgency
Silver was supposed to be speaking about the NBA All-Star game in his latest press conference. However, he could not help but dedicate an entire segment to the WNBA. Asking the involved parties to show urgency, the NBA commissioner went on to ‘put pressure on everybody’ and get the fiasco cleared as soon as possible.
Analyzing Silver’s comments, Robin Lundberg found an underlying reason behind all the urgency. “I feel like if the players give a response to the WNBA proposal, and we don’t wait again, because maybe the WNBA shouldn’t have, even if they didn’t think it was worth responding to, waited this long. We all know the clock works as an incentive here, just like Adam Silver was alluding to… You heard the commissioner of the NBA, the 11th hour of urgency, unfortunate. That’s not messaging from somebody who’s happy about this,” said Lundberg in his latest video.
Thankfully, in the past few days, the movements between both parties seem to have smoothed out significantly. Dropping some rosy updates, Breanna Stewart looked confident about coming up with a solution. Meanwhile, with no set plans in sight, there are rumors about a lockout actually happening.
