The WNBA-CBA deal already made huge noise from the 2025 season, and the mega media deal was one of the reasons for players’ demands for higher salaries and revenue share. After the CBA deal, the league also added a $333.61 billion global brand in a major sponsorship deal, expanding its partnerships and sponsors.
Now, the original media deal also received a massive boost following renewal with the league’s broadcasting partners and now values around $3.1 Billion.

The WNBA Media Rights Deal Reaches $3.1 Billion
In July 2024, the WNBA secured a $2.2 billion media deal over 11 years with Disney, NBCUniversal, and Amazon. This was the league’s biggest deal to date.
But the league has now added USA Sports and renewed deals with Scripps and Paramount, bringing total revenue to $3.1 billion. The league now partners with Disney (ABC/ESPN), NBCUniversal (NBC/Peacock), Amazon (Prime Video), Paramount (CBS), Scripps (Ion), USA Sports (USA Network), and NBA TV, which will broadcast the majority of the league games.

It’s important to note that the deals come with “reset” provisions after the third season. This provision allows the parties to renegotiate the terms of the deal, including length and cost. While the renewed terms will allow the league to fetch a more profitable deal, the WNBA is already earning big.

According to the records, the average annual value of the new media deal is $281 million, about 6.5 times the previous AAV of $43 million and 4.3 times last year’s revenue.
Interestingly, the players received $8 million in revenue share last season under the previous CBA deal. Now with improved terms and revenue value, the WNBPA will hope for a larger cheque this season. One thing that remains constant in this massive shift is that the team leading from the front is the Indiana Fever.
Indiana Fever Becomes Centerpiece Of WNBA Broadcasts
Different media giants will broadcast various games, covering over 200 league games, including the playoffs. Among these broadcasts, the Indiana Fever will have all 44 of its games available nationwide.

Also, the franchise will play 39 of its 44 regular-season games in NBA arenas, setting a league record for attendance and engagement.
