With just a few free agents left in the market and the WNBA draft pending, fans are now getting ready for the WNBA 2026 season. The WNBA announced its schedule late in January, making its intentions clear for the CBA and the start of the season at the time. While the league is on the verge of achieving its target dates, there is a bit of scrutiny over the Indiana Fever’s games.
First, the Indiana Fever has the toughest schedule in the league, with back-to-back games three times in the season, and then there is one more special arrangement from the league, which was also in the 2025 season.

WNBA Schedule Put The Indiana Fever Against The Atlanta Dream Most Times
The mega value CBA is based on the revenue generated from the games, and over the last two seasons, the most profitable organization for the league has been the Indiana Fever. Home or away, the arenas are full, viewership is at its peak, and revenue is at its highest. One game that attracted the most eyeballs for the last two seasons was Fever vs Sky, where Caitlin Clark vs Angel Reese’s rivalry played its part to get the attention.
Even in the 2026 season, the Chicago Sky moved its fixture against the Indiana team. Now, with the Sky moving forward to the Dream, the Fever vs Dream could be that game. Interestingly, the Indiana Fever will face the Atlanta Dream four times in the season, more than any other 12 teams.
Might not be a coincidence… 👀

The Indiana Fever are set to face the Atlanta Dream more than any other team this season.

The other team they will face four times is the New York Liberty, another high-profile, high-popularity fixture that would get more views. Though the games against Liberty are understandable, where there is not much change in the star power of both franchises, games against the Dream certainly raise questions.

Indiana Fever And Atlanta Dream Emerge As Strong Contenders
The Indiana Fever reached the semifinals of the 2025 season without Caitlin Clark, and now that the player is fit and healthy, there is much optimism about the team’s championship chances. Moreover, the team added Monique Billings to the lineup, making them a top contender in the season.
I’m so excited for this new chapter with @IndianaFever 🤒❤️ time to get to work!!!

The Atlanta side, on the other hand, kept its core intact and added Angel Reese to the lineup, providing them with a double-double machine and an impactful player around the rim. Reese also spoke highly about their chances in the season.
