Cathy Engelbert Reacts To New WNBA Broadcast Deal
The League Commissioner is under immense pressure right now with the fans and a few league personnel demanding her resignation. Many believe that the 2025 season will be her final year in the league, but the WNBA has dismissed the idea and shown faith in the 60-year-old executive.
Reacting to the recent media deal, Engelbert said, “Partnering with Versant and USA Network marks another significant milestone for the WNBA’s continued growth. As demand for women’s basketball continues to rise, partnerships like this expand the visibility and accessibility of our game. While the CBA discussions are still ongoing, the league could utilize new funds to address some of the financially related player demands.
