Aliyah Boston Shows Love For ‘Sister’ NaLyssa Smith
The 6-foot-4 forward was moved to the Aces midway through the 2025 season. The move benefited both player and franchise as the team got a capable player off the bench, while she got a shot at the championship with a potent team around her. Beating the tough Mercury team, the 25-year-old won her first WNBA title.

While the player performed well during her three-year stint with the Indiana Fever and brief spell with the Dallas Wings, a lack of accolades put pressure on her. Many, even though she should fade away into the memory lane, a championship certainly kept her relevant and a player to look out for in the upcoming seasons.
The 2022 rookie shared a post on social media, adding five photos with a trophy, and wrote, “yall should’ve neva counted me out, yaw kno God don’t play about me!!!” Smith wrote.

Many players, including Aliyah Boston, reacted to the post, showering love for the player. Boston wrote, “My sistaaaa Congratsss” with three hearts. The Aces forward also replied with a love and heart sign.

Both forwards shared the Fever dressing room for two seasons, where the Fever team made it to the playoffs once, in 2024. Smith was also the top pick from the Indiana team as they chose her as the second overall pick in the 2022 WNBA draft, while AB joined a season later as the top pick of the 2023 season.
While Smith won her first title after leaving the side, AB remains a key part of the Fever’s future plans. She had a remarkable 2025 season and even made franchise history. ,
Aliyah Boston Set Indiana Fever History With All-WNBA Team Selection
While the former Fever player went on to win a title with the Las Vegas Aces, AB also had a stellar season, carrying the Indiana team on her back along with Kelsey Mitchell. Boston secured its first-ever WNBA All-Defensive team honor and even earned a spot in the All-WNBA second team. Mitchell, fourth in the MVP race, also earned a spot on the All-WNBA first team, as the league recently announced its selections.
With this, the duo became only the second Fever pair to make All-WNBA teams in the same year. Tamika Catchings and Katie Douglas were selected to the All-WNBA team in 2009 and 2010.
Also, Mitchell and Boston are just the fourth and fifth players to earn All-WNBA honors as Indiana Fever players, while Caitlin Clark was the remaining star who earned a spot in the first team in 2024. The trio will look to run it back again next season, as CC and the forward are still under rookie contracts with Stephanie White’s side, and the front office is prioritizing re-signing KM.
