The Indiana Fever’s epic battle against the Las Vegas Aces ended with a loss at the Michelob ULTRA Arena in Game 5 overtime. While Kelsey Mitchell’s injury was one of the turning points, Aliyah Boston’s foul-out was another hard call on the Fever team.

Two Fouls In Game 5 Against The Aces Shocked Aliyah Boston
Candace Parker and the Fever forward were discussing the impressive playoff run Stephanie White’s team had. The former champion opened a topic on the 24-year-old forward’s foul calls. They dissected two controversial calls – a defensive call against Jackie Young in the third quarter and the offensive foul in the fourth quarter.

Boston reacted to the defensive foul, “You know what’s so interesting is Jackie Young is so strong. I could not believe that call.”
Talking about the offensive foul, the Fever forward added, “You know what’s so crazy is when I’ve been crab dribbling all year, I have not gotten an offensive foul in that manner the entire season. So, I’m like ‘Excuse me, excuse me, ma’am, what did I do? I didn’t push off.’ I She’s like, Well, your shoulder was like in her chest.”

The defensive foul on the 2023 rookie was the fifth one, limiting her in the clutch phase of the game, while the offensive foul occurred in the final minutes, forcing the star to sit out for the rest of the game, leaving the Fever team shorthanded in overtime.
The Aces won the battle in the final phase while the spirited Fever team collected a lot of applause for their efforts. On the lighter note, Parker teased the former Boston for breaking her playoff rebounding record as Boston had an impressive 2025 season.
Aliyah Boston Reacts To End Of 2025 Season
Even though top players were out for the season, Stephanie White kept faith in the team’s depth, Kelsey Mitchell, and Boston to carry the side to the goal. They delivered on time, shutting down all the doubters and critics in the process. The 2023 Rookie of the Year winner was happy with the season and team.
“My sisters for life, the best year,” She wrote on a post reacting to the season end.
Individually, the former South Carolina star had her best season. Boston also made the WNBA’s All-Defensive team for the first time in her career and had a career-best 15.4 points and 3.4 assists average. The player is entering her final season with the Fever and will look to win a title in 2026.
