The Unrivaled Season 2 had its two playoff teams, with Phantom BC advancing to the postseason after defeating Vinyl BC. Though there is just a three-point difference between the two teams in the final score, it was a rather thumping performance from Kelsey Plum and Aliyah Boston to secure the win.
Boston, in particular, was more clinical and dominant around the rim, scoring 30 points and collecting 16 rebounds with four blocks. While the player credited her teammates for pushing her into the game, her recent Instagram story suggests a different angle.

Aliyah Boston With Subtle Shots At Brittney Griner
Earlier in the season, Brittney Griner received a flagrant foul after excessive physical contact with the forward. Fans slammed the Dream player, calling her jealous of the 2023 rookie. Though Griner denied jealousy over Boston, her defensive plays on the AB tell a different story.
So playing against her once again might have motivated the 24-year-old star, who went with all her power to bulldoze the opposition. One particular play went viral as AB shoved Griner aside to score the basket. Many WNBA players shared the video on their stories praising the young forward. AB also made a collection of such praises and shared them on her IG Story.
BG had a tough night and couldn’t make much impact coming off the bench. Boston and Plum, however, combined for 63 points, ensuring victory for the side.
While Boston had the final laugh, defeating Griner twice in the Unrivaled and handing her an exit in the first round of the 2025 playoffs, she will be up against another top veteran forward next.

Who do think will be CROWNED THE ONE? 👀 pic.twitter.com/2y3nEeseBa
Her first opponent would be Alyssa Thos, who is an elite two-way player and powerful defender. The 2025 WNBA finalist leads her Laces side to the top finish this season and will be looking to clinch the title after missing out in the ‘W’.
Playing against such a top player in a one-on-one matchup would thoroughly test the Fever forward, who will be looking for a bigger role and impact on the Fever team in the upcoming seasons.
