The Unrivalled season 2 already created a lot of buzz with high-flying action, buzzer beaters, and dunks. It also set a record for the highest attendance for the women’s basketball game, surpassing the WNBA’s record. Kelsey Plum also set a record for the most points in a single game, which was later broken by Marina Mabrey in the season. But the Phantom BC guard set another record with Aliyah Boston, which might last longer.
In the game against the Vinyl BC, the AB-KP pair scored 63 points, nearly outscoring the opponents. And with that, the side also clinched a playoff spot. The Fever forward praised her teammate for the win and record.

Aliyah Boston Praises Kelsey Plum’s Push In Games
Phantom BC was one of the dark horses in the Unrivaled season 2, with former WNBA champions Keley Plum and Natasha Cloud guiding the young forward core. The connection clicked instantly as Boston and Plum scored 30 and 33 points, respectively, to destroy Vinyl BC’s defence.
While this made the duo the first pair in the Unrivaled to score 30+ points in a single game, the 2023 rookie said, “She’s pushing me in a different way. Definitely mentally, which is where I needed to grow the most. Being able to do that this offseason has just been a pleasure for me.”

I asked Boston how their relationship has grown.
“It’s grown from the time we became teammates. I love KP. I think she’s pushing me in a different way.” pic.twitter.com/J2e7JrA8R7
While Boston leads the league in blocks and rebounds, Plum is also among the top finishers and an elite passer, making them a deadly duo on the floor.

The veteran guard also showered love on the 24-year-old forward, praising her for her play and comparing her to her former teammate.
Kelsey Plum Compares Aliyah Boston to A’ja Wilson
Playing for the Aces, Plum won two championships and knows much about A’ja Wilson’s capabilities on the floor. Looking at her accomplishments, she is one of the most decorated players in the WNBA, and Plum sees similar traits in the young Fever forward.
On the ‘Post Moves’ Podcast, Plum said, “Obviously, I had a ton of respect playing against you. I know how good you are offensively, and I don’t think you get enough credit defensively for how good you are. But then being your teammate and just watching you gobble people up in the paint on both sides.”
“It reminds me in a lot of ways of A’ja. You don’t really have to worry about anything. You just kind of like throw it in the vicinity, and they’re gonna get it,” she added.
KP is not the only one drawing comparisons between the two forwards; their former coach, Dawn Staley, also sees Boston as a future MVP and as following A’ja’s path to glory.
