The Indiana Fever’s win over the Washington Mystics was a monumental one, considering the difficult 2025 WNBA season the franchise had. Out of the initial lineup, only Aliyah Boston, Kelsey Mitchell, Lexie Hull, and Natasha Howard played in every game, while the side missed multiple players on different occasions.
In the post-game interview, Stephanie White delivered a bold message after clinching the playoff spot. While the HC had her say in the press conference, players celebrated the achievement with a celebratory dance in the locker room. Boston shared the video on her Instagram story.
Aliyah Boston Leading The Indiana Fever Celebrations
Packed schedules, injured players, must-win situations, and a few officials’ decisions against the team (as per HC white), nothing seemed to be working for the Indiana Fever post All-Star break. However, with the help of the hardship contract players and the remaining roster, Stephanie White’s team delivered when it mattered the most.

A win over the Washington Mystics confirmed their playoff qualification, and the 2023 Rookie of the Year winner led the team in the locker room celebrations. The forward shared the video on her Instagram story and captioned it, “Hell yeahhhhh we in there,” with two starry eyes emojis.
But she didn’t forget her entire squad, including the injured ones, as in the next frame she shared the ‘playoff clinched’ photo with the whole roster and wrote, “So proud of my Fever girls man,” with slightly sad face emojis.

The change of emotions highlights how much she misses her injured teammates who constantly supported the team, even during recovery. Earlier this month, Lexie Hull also talked about the injured stars and how they encourage the side.
Aliyah Boston’s Celebratory Video Highlights The Importance Of Clinching Playoffs
The last time the Indiana Franchise celebrated wildly in the locker room following a game was after winning the 2025 Commissioner’s Cup. It was one of the biggest wins for Stephanie White’s side, which struggled throughout the season prior to the title win.
But the ‘injury’ stories continued until the final weeks of the regular season. Following the five players, including Caitlin Clark’s season-ending injuries, many had written off the Indiana Fever from playoff qualification. The Las Vegas Aces, Los Angeles Sparks, and Seattle Storm were picking up form, while the Fever team was looking to fill the empty roster spots with hardship contracts.
However, Mitchell led the side on the offensive end while Boston and Howard took care of the post region. The Fever even endorsed Kelsey Mitchell for the 2025 WNBA MVP accolade and All-WNBA selection. While the team will remain in seventh place irrespective of the final game’s result, Stephanie White and Co. will start preparing for a deep playoff run.
