They are not there yet, but they are not out of the playoff contention as well. And that’s why the Indiana Fever keep on pushing for a confirmed birth into the top six. Despite having a fair share of struggles, Aliyah Boston keeps giving fans something to cheer about.
Though Boston has spoken on WNBA referees’ inconsistency, she’s leaving very little margin of error. In a 95-75 rout of the Seattle Storm on Tuesday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Boston made it to the Fever’s record books. The All-Star forward had her stats topping the charts as she made franchise history during the game.
Aliyah Boston Makes Indiana Fever History
While sailing through complicated water, Boston was a force against the Storm. She dropped a game-high 27 points on 10-of-18 shooting, adding three assists, two steals, and nine rebounds to inch closer to a double-double. However, it was her career milestone for the Fever that grabbed the attention wtih a social media post from the team.

Boston grabbed her 1,000th career rebound, becoming the fastest player in franchise history to hit that milestone in just 118 games. It’s the kind of moment that reminds us why she’s a cornerstone for this team, especially in Clark’s absence.

Additionally, this win snapped a two-game skid for the Fever, who were coming off tough losses to the Minnesota Lynx. With Caitlin Clark still sidelined by injury, Boston’s been carrying a heavier load, and she’s delivering. Her 8.2 rebounds per game this season, paired with a career-high 15.2 points and 3.6 assists, show she’s not just a rebounding machine—she’s evolving into a complete player.
Coach White Leaning Towards Aliyah Boston In Key Players’ Absence
The Fever are making a positive push for the playoffs. While they do not have many games left in the regular season, the team is united in making good efforts. Coach Stephanie White has leaned on her hard, especially after losing frontcourt depth with DeWanna Bonner’s move to Phoenix.

In that case, Boston has an increased assigned role for the Fever. Her journey with the Fever started when she was drafted No. 1 overall in 2023, and she’s been a game-changer ever since. From a team that used to scrape the bottom of the standings, Indiana’s now 20-18, sitting sixth in the playoff race with six games left. Boston, alongside Mitchell and the hoped-for return of Clark, has turned the Fever into one of the league’s most exciting squads.
