Kelsey Mitchell is the talk of the WNBA town at the moment. With the Connecticut Sun sure of their victory against the Indiana Fever, Mitchell’s masterclass stunned them. Tying her career-high points tally of 38, the 29-year-old even made the likes of Stephanie White emotional after the game. And while the team celebrated, Mitchell’s Fever teammate Aliyah Boston had an interesting bit of information to share.
Mitchell had been the team’s mainstay and had held it together in Caitlin Clark’s absence. While she helped Indiana notch up the 19th win of the season, her fellow mates are in absolute awe of the 2018 rookie, so much so that Boston is considering her a possible MVP candidate.

After witnessing Mitchell help Fever reverse a 21-point lead, Boston cannot stop praising her. Speaking to the media after the game, the 23-year-old stated that Mitchell’s impact on the team is huge. The 2023 Rookie of the Year also lauded Mitchell for her consistency.

Boston pointed out how the 29-year-old has repeatedly delivered stunning performances when the team needed her. Shedding further light on the Fever star’s credibility, the three-time WNBA All-Star stated that Mitchell is currently having a season worthy of being awarded the MVP.
“She comes out, she defends, she scores the ball, she plays 40 minutes per game and she still consistently puts up these numbers. I feel like if she’s not MVP, shoot. That’s crazy,” said Boston.
