When Caitlin Clark entered the WNBA, she found comfort with Aliyah Boston. The guard-forward pair hit it off quickly, providing the Indiana Fever franchise with a centerpiece to build upon. It’s only natural that AB knows the Iowa star better in the league as her teammate and also partner on the court.
In a recent podcast discussion with Candace Parker, the Fever forward highlighted the impact of CC on the game and how the opposition game plan changes with and without the playmaker in action.
Aliyah Boston Explains Influence Of Caitlin Clark On Indiana Fever Offense
The former LA Sparks forward and the 2023 rookie started a new podcast, Post Moves. Both efficient and effective players around the rim shared a mentor-mentee relationship, and the podcast highlights detailed views of the game.
In the premiere episode, the 2016 WNBA Finals MVP questioned the former South Carolina forward about the impact of the Fever’s superstar on the team’s offense.
“I think when you have Caitlin on the floor, everything is automatically spaced. The floor is spaced, defenses are high-in because she comes across half court, you can set an early drag, and there’s a deep three going up,” Boston responded to CP’s question. (Via Post Moves podcast)

Mid-season acquisition Aari McDonald played a vital role in filling up the starting guard position, dishing out some essential assists. She even scored some range shots to keep the offense moving.
Indiana Fever Fared Well Without Caitlin Clark
The 23-year-old star missed 13 regular-season games. In earlier days, CC’s absence drastically impacted her teams. But the stacked Indiana Fever coped with the ‘blow’ and even won many difficult matchups, pushing the record to 14-12.
The side even defeated the Minnesota Lynx in the 2025 Commissioner’s Cup Final. They even scored two wins over their nemesis, the Las Vegas Aces, without the 2024 Rookie of the Year winner. Kelsey Mitchell took over the offensive load. Natasha Howard and Aliyah Boston dropped in double-double performances to keep the team’s winning momentum.

Yet, understanding CC’s quality and influence on the court, the side hopes to get her back for the postseason. While there is no timeline for her return, she is currently in a day-to-day status.
