Team USA is controlling the qualifying games standings following three consecutive wins and just two games remaining in the competition. Catilin Clark and Paige Bueckers lead the scorers, while Angel Reese is also making her presence felt around the rim with her rebounding skills. Two rookies who receive similar affection from fans and are still missing from the lineup are Aliyah Boston and Sonia Citron.
As per the update, Boston and Citron are out of the Team USA rotation due to injuries in the Unrivaled league. While it was very unfortunate news for fans and players, AB’s recent video drew much attention from fans.

Fans React To Aliyah Boston’s Dance Post
The Fever forward had been in brilliant form lately and led the side to the semifinal of the 2025 season. Her prolific performance also helped her Unrivalled team, Phantom BC, who topped the league standings and reached the final of the tournament. After the player missed the semifinal and final games of the 3-on-3 tournament, Kelsey Plum emphasized Boston’s key role while collecting the runners-up medals.
Although the seriousness of her injury was still unknown, the player recently shared a video showing off her dance moves with no sign of injury.

Wish we could see her playing on team USA, but so glad they played it safe and had her sit. I didn’t need to see her aggravate something in a blowout win vs New Zealand. So glad to see her doing well here!

Though playing in the World Cup qualifiers might be a bit difficult at the moment with the tournament already underway, the player’s impact on games is undeniable. Boston won major accolades at the Unrivalled and WNBA league too, and is raring to challenge for the titles next season. Amid this, she recently opened up about her injury situation on her podcast.
Aliyah Boston Breaks Silence On Her Injury
Both the Indiana Fever and the Phantom BC were championship favorites, given the former South Carolina stars’ improved performances. Although the teams fell short of the ultimate goal, the player had the chance to play for the USA senior team.
Reflecting on her injury, Boston said, “I literally felt like I was moving so slow. I was like, obviously, battling something in my lower leg. I was really not hoping the team [to win since] everything’s not feeling great.”
