The Candace Parker-Angel Reese drama is not finishing up. After the former LA Sparks star ranked her in ‘C-Tier’, fans labelled her an ‘Angel Reese-hater.’ The former champion provided her explanation in the ‘Good Follow’ podcast and defended her ranking, but fans were not convinced.
The retired player now receives a direct jibe from the Chicago Sky forward. The star took to social media to express her feelings. A subtle jibe may be a little too far to handle.
Angel Reese Takes Shots At Candace Parker
The 39-year-old has a ‘Post Moves’ podcast with Aliyah Boston of the Indiana Fever. The podcast features the two WNBA stars discussing WNBA highlights and locker room stories and offering real-life advice, with Parker mentoring Boston. In the premier episode, the 2013 MVP used Chi-Town Barbie’s name.
“What player would you take Angel Reese over, of those I have listed?” she asked, listing some forwards.
It was the first sentence of the promotional video. Interestingly, the premiere of the actual podcast will be out on July 30. Yet the former LSU star got angry for using her name in another ranking. She also indirectly responded with some strong words targeting Parker.
“clout is one helluva DRUG. like it really gets to a point,” the Chicago forward posted on her X (formerly known as Twitter).

While the rebounding queen did not explicitly mention Parker in her post, the timing and some fan reactions suggest a possible connection with the promotional video of the “Post moves” podcast.
The Maryland-born star is one of the most followed WNBA athletes and has always been in discussions for the plays, both good and bad. She has been in excellent form recently, putting up back-to-back double-double scores for her side. Using her name will certainly catch attention, and fans have highlighted the same in their reaction, once again blasting the podcast host.
Angel Reese Makes Successful Return
On the court, though, the Chicago Sky star is once again dominating the floor. After missing three of the last four games for her franchise, the 23-year-old star started the game against the Washington Mystics at the CareFirst Arena. The side had a five-game losing streak and needed a win to get back on track.

The leading rebounder took charge of the proceedings with her dominance in the paint region. She put up another double-double performance with 22 points and 13 rebounds.
Her 43rd career double-double production surpasses the two-time MVP Elena Delle Donne for the 33rd position on the all-time list. Sadly, her efforts were outshone by Sonia Citron’s masterclass. The Mystics guard scored a career-high 28 points. She also had two rebounds and two assists in the game as the Sky lost its sixth game in a row, putting them in the 12th position with a 7-19 record.
