November 12 would be big for Caitlin Clark. Nike will release its long-anticipated Nike Kobe 6 in Protro colorway, and she will also be at the Pro-Am golf event, trying her swings in Miami. While she already made her mark in the tournament last season, she will have two of her teammates, Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull, as her cabbies.
Her first appearance at the event was a massive hit for the tournament, attracting the media and new fans. Organizer Annika Sorenstam also lauded CC’s impact, which she saw in 2024.

Recent data showed that the Indiana Fever leads the WNBA teams in popularity charts and has a massive social media valuation (seven times that of the second-placed side). While this difference and influence are due to multiple reasons, many of them point to the 2024 rookie as the primary reason.

Now the 24-year-old will be on the golf course for the second season in a row, and Annika Sorenstam had the nicest words for the Fever guard. Sorenstam told the media, “She added so much excitement to the tournament. We had a lot of people come out, they were standing on the first tee at 7 am, waiting for her to see that first shot.”.
The first questions Annika Sorenstam gets asked about her pro am this weekend are about… of course, Caitlin Clark.

“She loves the game of golf, and I’m so glad that she wanted to come back because, you know, it brings more people to the game, brings more people to the tournament, and that’s really what we’re looking for,” Sorenstam added.

While the player mentioned that she will miss the Unrivaled league and work on her injuries, many fans might wonder why she is playing in the Golf competition then.
Caitlin Clark Provides Reasons For Returning To The Competition
After playing in 13 games due to injury, many fans expected that the Fever guard would take care of her body and return to full fitness. But her decision to play Golf rooted back to her college days, where she mentioned that Golf kept her calm yet kept her competitive nature active. Talking about the tournament, the Fever star was happy with her first-year experience.
“I had an amazing time at The Annika last November and participating in the Pro-Am alongside Nelly Korda and Annika Sorenstam, two of the best in the game. I’m honored to be an ambassador for a company in Gainbridge that is so committed to elevating women’s sports. I can’t wait to return to Tampa in November to play in the Pro-Am with the best women golfers in the world,” Clark said.
While the player has a very busy offseason schedule, Clark was at Michael Jordan’s exclusive golf club and practiced for the Pro-Am. It will be interesting to see her performance this season, given the significant hype surrounding her participation.
