The March Madness brackets are out, with four top contenders starting their journey towards the title from four different pots. Defending champions UConn will be looking for another title run, which would be a fitting farewell to Azzi Fudd, who delivered for the side over the years.
Fudd also spoke about how ditching Instagram helps her tune out media noise and draft talk for peak focus in the final stretch. Coach Geno Auriemma knows the feeling and understands her situation as he recently reflected on her possible mindset following the postseason of her final year at the program.

Geno Auriemma Shed Light On Azzi Fudd’s Mindset
Just five years ago, Paige Bueckers demanded the recruitment of a St. John player to UConn, massively improving the depth and quality of the roster. Geno Auriemma’s team did the rest of the work and brought in talented, dedicated Fudd to the most successful program in NCAAW.
During her time at UConn, she delivered for the side, proving that she is the right choice for the side. Now in her final season, Auriemma reflects on her mindset, as he said, “Knowing what Azzi’s been through and what she’s had to go through all these years, I would think she sees this as ‘I deserve this.’”
