Azzi Fudd’s High School Career

Fudd first gained attention at St. John’s College High School in Washington, D.C. She was named the 2019 Gatorade National Girls Basketball Player of the Year, becoming the first sophomore ever to win the award. Her scoring ability and smooth shooting stroke made her stand out as a future superstar.

UConn Career

Azzi committed to the University of Connecticut in 2020, joining one of the most historic programs in women’s basketball. Despite battling injuries during her college career, she showed flashes of brilliance with her shooting and scoring ability. Fudd was part of a strong UConn backcourt alongside Paige Bueckers, and together they helped keep UConn among the top teams in the nation.

2024–25 Season (UConn, Redshirt Junior)

• Averaged 13.6 points per game, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.8 assists, while shooting 47.4% from the field and 43.6% from three. Only 34 total games with 30 starts.

• During the NCAA Tournament, her scoring jumped to 17.5 points per game. In the Final Four:

  • Scored 19 against UCLA; 24 (with 5 rebounds, 3 steals) in the National Championship vs. South Carolina.

• Posted a career-high 34 points in a regular-season game against St. John’s, including eight made three-pointers.
