The WNBA draft night is not far away, and seniors are putting in everything they have to make a lasting impression on their programs. As for Azzi Fudd, she already won a championship last season and even won the Most Outstanding Player accolade. Yet she is looking to improve her performance in her final season, and her efforts have her shooting better.
Amongst the Top 10 prospects in the 2026 mock draft, the UConn guard changed one habit, which proved to be a game-changer for her and in a recent interview, she opened up about it.

Azzi Fudd’s Game Changer In Senior Year
The UConn Huskies are riding high on their star players’ production on the court. They remained a dominant force on the floor with Fudd and Sarah Strong getting nominations for the Naismith Player of the Year award. The forward had been effective on the floor while the guard was efficient from the side.
Talking about the change in her approach from the last season, she said, Azzi Fudd talked about how crucial her faith has been for her this season, noting how, after not having a great pregame shootaround, she prayed 10 extra times today.
