Sarah Strong put up a phenomenal performance against Ohio State on Sunday.
For most players, that would be a career night. For Strong, it was just another night where she was somehow getting better.
While Azzi Fudd earlier had a sibling moment with Strong, she made sure everyone heard it after the game when she told reporters that Strong is “even better this year” on both ends of the floor.
Azzi Fudd Praised Sarah Strong’s Improved Season
The Huskies are 4-0, ranked No. 1, and the sophomore who carried them to a title last spring now looks like the best player in the college basketball scene.

Recently, Fudd spoke in the locker room hallway after UConn’s 100-68 win at PeoplesBank Arena in Hartford. She kept it short and simple while giving it all to Strong’s improved season.
“I’ve said it before, but not that I didn’t think she(Strong) could get better, but it’s like, she’s so good. How could she possibly even be better? And then she’s even better this year. So to see her, I feel like the confidence in her really just owing space, you can feel it, hearing her talk,” Fudd said of her teammate.

“And then she really is involved in every play offensively, defensively, whether she’s scoring, making a great pass, she’s always involved,” she added.
However, Sunday was the clearest example yet. Strong tied her career high with 29 points, grabbed her first double-double of the season, and did it without a single turnover.
Azzi Fudd Had An Adorable Moment With Paige Bueckers Fan
The same night, after the final buzzer and the handshakes, Fudd walked to the stands for autographs.
One fan held a sign that read “Paige Bueckers girlfriend sign here.” Fudd spotted it, smiled widely, jogged straight over, and signed the poster while the crowd cheered.

The video hit social media instantly and has been shared thousands of times. Additionally, Fudd and Bueckers confirmed their relationship publicly during WNBA All-Star Weekend in July.
With Bueckers now in Dallas as the No. 1 pick and Fudd back for her fifth year at UConn, some fans had started wondering if distance was creating distance. The signed poster answered that question in about five seconds.
