Finally, it happened. Caitlin Clark was on the NBC NBA pre-game show, where she shared her unfiltered opinions on NBA games and spoke about the sport she loves most. Aliyah Boston and Aerial Powers hyped up Clark’s appearance as a contributor to NBC’s broadcast, and the player delivered on the mega night with the Knicks welcoming the Lakers at Madison Square Garden.
While many topics were discussed beyond the game, the Fever star had to name an NBA star who impressed her the most. Although many fans might have guessed the name, her answer might surprise everyone else.

Caitlin Clark Names NBA Star Who Impressed Her
CC had been a LeBron James fan for life. Clark called LeBron James ‘King’, commenting on his post, and even named him her GOAT while talking about her top players. But she didn’t put LBJ’s name as the player who impressed her. Neither did she take her friend, the Indiana guard Tyrese Haliburton’s name. The 2024 WNBA rookie chose Luka Doncic and her ‘teacher’.
“Luka’s amazing. He’s incredible. I think the way he can not only score the ball but also the way he passes. He’s not always the fastest, he’s not the most athletic, but he can make a defender move to where he wants him to go. He does a really good job of keeping the defender behind him or to the side. That’s something I can certainly learn from,” Clark said.

Doncic had been in great form playing for the Lakers and is a key factor to the LA side’s current run. Being a guard, choosing the crafty ball handler makes complete sense.

Clark also noted that Doncic makes elite production look deceptively simple. Averaging a 30-point triple-double carries a level of difficulty that few players truly understand, she added in her explanation.
The star not only praised the former Dallas playmaker during her short session, but she also expressed her desire to play at the Garden one day.
Caitlin Clark Wants to Play At Madison Square Garden
Fans fill the arenas wherever the Fever guard is playing. While she had been to many arenas in her college and professional career so far, the star expressed a desire to play a competitive game at Madison Square Garden. She asked Carmelo Anthony, her co-host and former Knicks star, to try to make it possible.
“First time at MSG for a Knicks game, so it’s pretty cool. We have to talk to Adam about that (Fever game at the venue). Even if it’s a preseason game, we’ve got to get it done,” Clark said.
