Fans are already excited to watch Team USA thrive on the world stage with several young stars and also veterans forming a formidable team. Interestingly, there are a few close friendships and even rivalries at the WNBA level among those stars, including Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, and Paige Bueckers.
While Bueckers cleared the air on the Clark rivalry, the players are also forming a few new connections. One such surprising connection is between the Fever Guard and Kelsey Plum. The Sparks’ prankster had always been on CC’s back, trying to poke fun at her whenever possible, but now both seem to be on the same wavelength.

Bonding Between Kelsey Plum And Caitlin Clark Growing
The 31-year-old guard is famous for making fun of her teammates and even opponents on and off the court, trying to bond with the individuals with humor. At some point, she found success with many WNBA stars, and it seems that her magic also worked on the former Iowa superstar as they were bonding well at the USA camp.
Just like her All-Star fun jab at Team Clark, the player struck up a friendship with the 2024 rookie, poking fun at her plays and even lighthearted moments with the youngster.

One interesting connection between the two stars is Aliyah Boston, who will miss the upcoming USA basketball games due to injury. At the Indiana Fever franchise, AB and CC already have a strong connection, while the forward also bonded well with Plum at the Unrivaled league, putting the Phantom BC team at the top of the season standings.

Boston even credited Kelsey Plum for pushing her to become a better version of herself on the court and be more aggressive on the floor. Though the side reached the final, AB’s absence handed the top team a loss against the Mist BC.
Now, while Boston is out injured, Clark is making her return from the long-standing injury, and she also opened up about the same in her recent interview.
Caitlin Clark Provides Injury Update Ahead Of FIBA World Cup Qualifiers
The 2024 rookie of the year winner played in just 13 games in the 2025 season and was not part of any other league. She focused on her recovery, with many of her workout and training videos going viral during the offseason. Now she provided a positive update on her health.

In the March training camp, she said, “I’m sure after the first minute of running around on the court, I’ll be just fine. But more than anything, just really excited. I know how much work and how much time I put in to make sure my body’s as healthy as it can be and to get back.”
With new friends and teammates, healthy Clark will look to conquer the basketball at the world stage at the senior level, and her first match will be on March 11
