After winning the Commissioner’s Cup, it’s back to the regular season now. The Indiana Fever will face the Las Vegas Aces on July 3 as the first matchup of their upcoming five-game home stand. The pressure is on Caitlin Clark and her Fever team to deliver after a subtle start to the season.
Ahead of the game, the players are back in the training facility for upcoming matches. Still keeping the mood light and friendly, they were asked to name their ‘emergency contact’ from the team. Many would think it’s Sophie Cunningham for CC after the scenes against the Connecticut Sun. But you might be surprised by Caitlin’s answer.
Caitlin Clark Names Aliyah Boston As Her Emergency Contact
As players were getting ready for the games, they were asked to mention their ‘emergency contact’ among their teammates. A question hinting at who they would trust with their life. While teammates usually have great chemistry within themselves, everyone sees one particular player as his or her ‘go-to mate’ in case of emergency.

For Clark, it should have been Sophie Cunningham, who stepped up to the physicality against her star guard. She even deliberately committed a hard foul on Jacy Sheldon of the Connecticut Sun. This not only earned Sophie ‘Caitlin’s Protector’ tag, but she bagged a mega endorsement deal.

But when it was time for Clark to name her emergency contact, she said that she trusts everyone, but then chooses Aliyah Boston. AB has also stood up for her guard on multiple occasions, and more importantly, the Iowa-born thinks that Boston would pick up the phone.

The funniest answer came from Sydney Colson, who just gave a glance with a question in return, ‘from this team?’.
Aliyah Boston Is ‘Emergency Contact’ For Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark
As the 2x WNBA All-Star made Aliyah Boston her choice for the emergency contact, she was not the only one considering 2023 Rookie of the Year as dependable. Kelsey Mitchell, Lexie Hull, Natasha Howard, and rookie Timpson also chose Aliyah Boston as one of their emergency contacts. This was widely because AB is mostly on the phone and would answer it.
The funny part was that even Aliyah chose herself alongside Briana Turner and Kelsey Mitchel. On a serious note, Aliyah Boston proved to be a force under the rim for the Indiana Fever in recent games. In the absence of Caitlin Clark, Boston kept its side competitive in the league with some solid performances.
The powerful forward helped the Fever win over the Dallas Wings, Seattle Storm, and, most recently, against the Lynx. The forward is a multifaceted offensive and defensive weapon for the Indiana Fever, impacting games in multiple ways. With CC on the floor, Boston becomes even more lethal, providing a perfect one-two offensive punch for her side.
