If you thought Caitlin Clark would be up and running immediately, there’s some bad news. Picking up a groin injury, Clark was unable to attend the All-Star game. Her absence proved to be decisive as Team Clark lost the game comprehensively to Team Collier. In the same way, the Indiana Fever is missing a trick without their trump card around.
With 12 wins and 12 losses, the Fever are placed at number 7. Thus, getting Clark back as soon as possible will be their primary goal. Sadly, that might not be something that is going to happen very soon. According to recent updates, Clark’s season of woes will be a long one, and Sabrina Ionescu is here to support her.
Sabrina Ionescu Extends Her Heartfelt Support To Caitlin Clark
Caitlin Clark had faced multiple injury challenges this season. Having a diminished run, the 23-year-old has already missed 11 games till now. By the looks of it, this number is only going to increase. With her groin still a concern, she is likely to miss more games this season. Such a situation is surely a demoralizing one for an athlete of Clark’s calibre. But thankfully, she has Sabrina Ionescu comforting her in these troubling situations.
Ionescu advised Clark to take her time. The Liberty star stated that she must only return if she is one hundred percent confident about her health. Ionescu further doubled down saying that the WNBA games come in fast. And one wrong step will ultimately hurt Clark’s progress in the long run.
“Make sure you’re 100% before you start back up because games just kind of pile on. And if you don’t feel great, it’ll come back and hurt you in the end,” said Ionescu.

Surely, this was witty advice from Ionescu. After all, Clark had herself declared that she is not feeling like a young body at the moment. With Clark not around, the Fever had to rethink their strategy, and that is exactly what Aliyah Boston recently revealed.

Aliyah Boston Reveals Major Change In Tactics Following Caitlin Clark’s Absence
Aliyah Boston is eagerly looking forward to Clark’s return. However, until she is declared medically fit, the Fever will have to devise an alternative. Shedding light on the same, Boston stated that the Fever will get more on the defensive side against some specific teams. Yet, she also stated that despite Clark’s absence, the team will continue to keep their faith in their offensive abilities.

“Everything changes when we hit shots. I think if we come out and start this next game, hit some shots to open up the floor a lot, and obviously Caitlin’s a fantastic passer, but I think if we figure out, once again, different ways to get everyone that needs to touch the ball, and when and where. So we just continue to trust our offense and let it flow,” Boston said (via IndyStar).
Surely, Caitlin Clark must be itching to come back to the court. Unfortunately, only time will tell how far away that moment is.
