WNBA stars will be back on the court, most of them playing on one team as Team USA takes the stage for the FIBA World Cup games. During the qualifiers, the USA Basketball put faith in the younger generations and added many rookies, including Caitlin Clark, Kiki Iriafen, Angel Reese and Paige Bueckers, which got fans excited.
While an ESPN executive called Clark a gateway drug to women’s sports in a new interview, the player herself will be looking to get into her rhythm with smaller victories over her recent injuries.
Attending the Miami training camp, the player spoke about her recovery post-injury-laden 2025 season.

Caitlin Clark Provides Injury Update
In the 2025 season, the Fever guard played for just 13 games, even though she managed to impact those games with her offensive game. Announcing ‘end of the season’ was very difficult for her. The player focused on getting back to her full fitness as she let go of offers from other leagues.
Now, back in the Team USA training camp, talking about her injury and recovery, the Fever guard said, “Kind of in the build up to that first USA camp, and working through that, you would feel little things, whether it’s just soreness and having to work through that. But when you’ve dealt with so many little soft tissue injuries, you can kind of get in your head a little bit.”

“These past couple months I’ve really kind of put that behind me and really just feel confident in what I’ve been able to build and where my body’s at, and more than anything, where my game’s at,” Clark added.
One thing that CC might miss would be her Fever teammate, Aliyah Boston, on the court. Boston will miss the Team USA games due to an injury sustained during the unrivalled season. Understanding the same, the Indiana Fever stepped up and showed support to their star player.
Caitlin Clark Receives Backing From Indiana Fever
Earlier, a WNBA insider highlighted Stephanie White’s dominance at Team USA camp for two key reasons, AB and CC. While the forward won’t be part of the competition now, White will be their looking after the games and drawing plays as assistant coach.
Amid this, the Indiana Fever came ahead and cheered the playmaker with a comment on a social media post, “Let’s Go CC,” after the AB’s absence was confirmed.
Team USA will start its campaign from March 11, with the former Iowa star looking to blend in early to put aside her injury concerns.
