Due to multiple player injuries, the Indiana Fever signed the largest number of players on hardship contracts and retained a few for the playoffs. Although the decision was appropriate considering the depth of the squad and the current needs, the front office now needs to reduce the roster from 17 to 12.

Talking to Aerial Powers on her Vlog, CC was honest with her answer as she expects a few changes on the roster for the upcoming season, with a high possibility of missing many players from the current roster.
“Every player that’s come in and you especially, like you’ve made it so fun and we’ve loved having you. And, um, you know, obviously not everybody can stay cause we had 17 people on our team. So, no matter who it is, like, you know, you cherish those memories you got to spend with each other,” Clark said.

Out of the 17 players in 2025, only Clark, Aliyah Boston, and Makayla Timpson have guaranteed spots at the start of the 2026 season, with all three players still on their rookie contracts with the side. All other 14 players are free agents and can sign with other franchises.
