Team captains Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever and Napheesa Collier of the Minnesota Lynx finalized the WNBA All-Star Game roster draft on Tuesday, setting the two teams that will battle in the upcoming affair at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on July 19.
As expected, Clark and Collier chose their respective teammates. The former picked Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell, while the latter selected Courtney Williams.
Collier made Williams her first pick of the second round, denying Clark the chance to play with the veteran playmaker. But while Williams and Clark won’t share the court as teammates in the midseason showcase, they could still team up on an entirely different platform.
Caitlin Clark To Team Up With Courtney Williams—On Twitch
Williams said in a video posted on X(formerly Twitter) that Clark gave a shoutout to StudBudz. Williams and her Lynx teammate Natisha Hiedeman run the popular Twitch channel, which has over 10,000 followers as of last month.

The 23-year-old Clark, who will appear in her second All-Star Game, acknowledged StudBudz’s recent 72-hour stream and said she wants to join next time.
“Don’t worry, girl, you’ll still be on there,” said Williams.

“You’ll be on there,” echoed Hiedeman.
On their channel, Williams and Hiedeman discuss a wide array of topics. They react to games, league developments, and even non-basketball subjects. They also interview their fellow players from time to time.
“It just started off with friendship, really. We knew about Twitch, so we just thought it would be a good idea for us to get on there. We didn’t know it was gonna blow up that fast,” Hiedeman said in a report from Forbes’ Roberta Rodrigues.
“We’ve been getting a lot of support, and I think a lot of players want to come on, so definitely (we’re) going to have more players and people on in the future and (we’re) super excited for that.”
Fans would enjoy it if the plan with Clark pushes through. Seeing how they talk about the WNBA would interest many, especially since they’re from opposing teams.
Courtney Williams Reacts To Rough Play Against Caitlin Clark
Last month, Williams and Hiedeman tackled the heated game between the Fever and the Connecticut Sun. During the match, Clark was poked in the eye and knocked to the ground.
While Indiana forward Sophie Cunningham eventually came to her aid, Williams and Hiedeman noted that Clark’s other teammates didn’t respond. The duo said they would’ve reacted differently if that had happened to one of their own teammates.
“We would have been crashing out on our team,” said Williams, who was named to his second All-Star Game, in one of their livestreams on Twitch.
Perhaps they could revisit the topic when Clark joins StudBudz.
