The Indiana Fever has finally done it. With Stephanie White constantly bringing grim Caitlin Clark news, the road to the playoffs seemed quite like an impossible task for the Fever. Thankfully, White’s impeccable coaching, coupled with the team’s zeal to perform well, bore rich fruit for Indiana. The team recently secured its playoff berth. However, the one person who was missing from the celebrations was none other than Clark herself.
Clark recently announced about how she will not be returning until the next season. And while this was enough reason to feel sombre, the team did their best and will now look for a title run. But Clark missing from the celebration has raised quite a few eyebrows.
Caitlin Clark Caught Being Busy On Her Phone While Indiana Fever Celebrates
The Indiana Fever recently faced off against the Washington Mystics. Needing a win desperately, the team came together to put on a dominant display. With the likes of Aliyah Boston, Natasha Howard, Aerial Powers, and more chipping in, the Fever cruised past the Mystics with a 94-65 scoreline.

Surely, with a depleted side, Fever did a remarkable job qualifying for the playoffs. Thus, soon after the final buzzer rang, the entire Fever squad broke out into a celebratory dance. But the fans soon noticed that something was off. Fever’s frontline star, Clark, was notably missing from the celebration. In fact, she could be seen sitting alone, scrolling on her phone.

While the viral video had fans questioning her involvement, the 23-year-old star has been quite active throughout the season. Despite only playing 13 games, the 2024 rookie had travelled with the team for all the games. In fact, on multiple occasions, Clark’s hilarious bench gestures have also come to the limelight. Meanwhile, as the Fever is now in the playoffs, they will miss Clark even more. Reflecting on the decision of benching the 2024 Rookie of the Year for the season, Stephanie White shared some details recently.

Stephanie White Shares Details About Caitlin Clark Decision
Indiana Fever getting the services of Clark for the playoffs would have been a dream come true scenario. Unfortunately, due to her lingering groin issues, the 23-year-old will have to sit out for the entirety of the season. And although the likes of head coach Stephanie White knew that it would be a hard decision, the front office decided to give ample time to the star rookie to recover.

“We knew that West Coast road trip was going to be a big one, to see where we could get, and how far we could get. And I think at the end of the day, she’s been working her butt off to be able to get back, and we’ve kind of run out of time to be able to do it in a safe way, in a safe manner,” said White.
Surely, the team has proved their worth by putting on a strong display without a host of stars. Thus, fans will be eager to see how long Fever can continue their successful run in the future.
