The 2026 WNBA draft is still five months away, but the talks are already heating up. Lauren Betts dropped to fourth position in recent mock drafts from the top position, while Azzi Fudd takes her place with the Wings winning the lottery and her recent form.
The addition of Fudd would certainly keep Paige Bueckers happy, with the 2025 NCAA champions reuniting in the WNBA. But Candace Parker has other thoughts.

Candace Parker With Bold Claims Over Azzi Fudd’s WNBA Draft
The Dallas Wings finally win the 2026 WNBA draft lottery after much speculation. Many presume she would be a Wings player in the league, but Parker gave an interesting view.
On the ‘Post Moves’ podcast, Parker said, “I think for Azzi, I would probably love to see her with Minnesota. You’re coming into a team that is already really good.”
While the Wings are rebuilding around Bueckers, a rookie, the Lynx is a more established team that can give her time to adjust and develop in the WNBA. This could be great for her personal growth in the league as a player.

Ahead of the draft, former UConn star and WNBA legend Sue Bird had advice for the 22-year-old shooting guard, as she wants the top prospect to soak in her last NCAA moment ahead of her final year at college. While PB did so, winning the NCAA championship, will she be upset over not teaming up with her UConn mate?
Will Azzi Fudd’s Move To Minnesota Lynx Upset Paige Bueckers?
The guard duo was an unstoppable force in the 2025 NCAA tournament, with the program winning its record 12th title and Fudd claiming the MOP accolade. Wings desperately need such a pair to control and win games for the side, making her a suitable candidate as first pick by the Texas franchise.
But if they miss out on the Arlington-born star, will it affect their 2025 Rookie of the Year winner? PB already thought about the idea as she is ready for the match-up.
“Yeah, well, first of all, she’s really not that good at talking trash, so I don’t think she’d have to worry about that. She would say she would mess with me, but I think I’m obviously more…I would mess with her, and then she’d get annoyed and irritated. Yeah, we haven’t played against each other since high school, so I really don’t know how that will go,” said Bueckers.

While fans are eager to watch the off-court pair teaming up on the floor, it’s up to the Wings to make the wish come true.
