The Las Vegas Aces put up an excellent display to defeat the Phoenix Mercury. After winning the title, Chelsea Gray hits back at critics who counted them out. But even the Las Vegas faced an uphill task in the semifinal series and had to play three games against the Seattle Storm.
However, Grey gave Fever stars their flowers for posing challenges to the Aces. She singled out Lexie Hull, Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston for their plays that put the Fever in title contender position.
Chelsea Gray Lauds Indiana Fever Trio
The Las Vegas Aces had to put their best plays against Seattle and Indiana, which in turn helped them beat the Phoenix Mercury. Talking to Sue Bird, the 33-year-old point guard, she admitted that the Fever had three strong players who stood out against them.

“You have Indiana, super fast, with Kelsey Mitchell downhill. Defending in your grill, Lexie Hull. You have a presence inside with Aliyah Boston, that’s gonna be a bruiser. They’re aggressive defensively,” she said.
Kelsey Mitchell exited the game due to injury. Later, Mitchell reveals a scary “rhabdomyolysis” condition that led to temporary paralysis and muscle shutdown. AB also missed the overtime plays following her sixth foul in the regulation time. The Aces pounced on the opportunity to win the game.

While the star guard put on a show for the Aces and won three titles with the Las Vegas team, she also won her first title with the Los Angeles Sparks. This makes her the only active player with four championships in the league.
As the official Instagram accounts of both WNBA and NBA highlighted Gray’s achievements, the star veteran revealed how special it meant for her. “Man, they counted me out, bro. They said a lot of noise, man. But champions take care of everything,” said Gray. Interestingly, she also won the Unrivaled series title in its inaugural season, making her the only player to clinch both titles.
