The Chicago Sky will host the Seattle Storm on August 19 at Wintrust Arena. During their last meet, the Sky team struggled offensively without its leading scorers, Ariel Atkins and Angel Reese, and ended with just 57 points. However, in the upcoming game, the fans would want to see a revived lineup.
Just recently, during her recovery period, the star forward did community work and promoted her upcoming Reebok signature shoes. However, the big question is when the Chicago Sky star will return to the WNBA court. And the franchise provided an update on Reese, who missed multiple games due to a back injury.
Chicago Sky Provides Injury Update On Angel Reese
There is no question over the Reese’s impact on the games. Ever since she’s been out due to an injury, the Sky has won just one game and has been in miserable condition. After snapping the season’s worst seven-game losing streak, the franchise is again on a four-game losing streak.
Even though injuries to their star players affected the Chicago Sky’s progress, no mid-season acquisitions have surely played bigger roles in the team’s failure. This has put their coach, Tyler Marsh, in a bad light, which led some fans to question his ability to coach and lead the team.
Moreover, the team’s double-double queen and record-setting forward, Angel Reese’s absence has affected them the most. After a long wait for positive news, the franchise has now provided an update on the Randallstown-born that will cheer up the fanbase.

“She looks great. She fit right in, just like she hadn’t missed any time off. The chemistry is still there with her teammates; she picked up on the stuff that we were doing, picked up on the game plan going in tomorrow. So we will continue to see how she feels tomorrow at shootaround.”
According to reports from Karli Bell, the star is questionable and still on a day-to-day basis, a significant update from ‘Out’ status fans have witnessed so far.

Ariel Atkins – PROBABLE (Leg)
Hailey Van Lith – PROBABLE (Ankle)
Angel Reese – QUESTIONABLE (Back)
Despite Reese starting practice, it might be too late for her to return to put the team in contention for the playoffs. She could still impact games and affect other team rankings. Moreover, after a poor start to the season, her presence would potentially help Sky win some games and end the season with a better-looking record.
Fans Are Excited To See Angel Reese’s Injury Update
Fans will be happy with the news, especially with the increasing possibility of keeping the forward out for a season. Even though the team has a long (longest may be) shot of making it to the playoffs, the star player’s lengthy absence could impact the fanbase and even the team dynamics. Following the update, excited fans responded positively.
