The Unrivaled’s defending champion, Rose BC, started well in the second season but struggled to maintain that momentum in the later stages. The Breeze BC’s Aari McDonald’s season-ending injury update put the franchise under pressure to go for an established star instead of taking one from the development roster. Hive BC, Rose BC, and Phantom also chipped in for what was only the second trade in the league history.

While the star was out of action for a longer period, she participated in the USA basketball training camp and has now earned a place on Team USA for the FIBA World Cup 2026.
Angel Reese Earns Spot In Team USA
Team USA held a training camp on December 12, inviting multiple young WNBA stars to try out. Sue Bird praised Caitlin Clark for her maturity, noting that the guard chose to put her health and Team USA’s interests first in the offseason. Rese too opted out of the Unrivaled for similar reasons and now earns a spot in the next training camp by playing 12.
