Stephanie White Lauds Indiana Fever Team’s Mentality
Winning a game after losing a player (fourth in the season) was difficult. The Sun had a poor record in the league, but since playing against the Indiana Fever, they were charged up and extra determined to compete.
Despite this, the visitors delivered a strong performance, recording their biggest comeback win in the league. Talking about the players and the team’s mentality, the proud HC had some strong words in the postgame interview.

“(These players) have something inside of them that you just can’t teach. They bring it out in each other, and it allows us to get through these incredibly tough times. It gives us a chance. I’m so incredibly proud of them for continuing to believe,” White said in the interview.
The coach constantly reported adversity against her team, from unfair officiating in the league to physical plays and dealing with player injuries. Still, Sunday’s win over the Sun was morale-boosting and could certainly push the franchise into the playoffs.
