It’s been 10 straight games and 19 in total that Caitlin Clark is out of action. She suffered quad injuries first and is now recovering from a groin injury. Fans nearly gave up on her return updates, but still keep tabs on her availability with the hope of ‘good news’.
Well, now there is positive news for the Fever fans from the franchise as the side provides revised updates on its players’ availability for the next game against the Dallas Wings.
Indiana Fever Provides New Update On Caitlin Clark’s Availability
Winning against top teams without the team’s top playmaker certainly made HC Stephanie White happy. Kelsey Mitchell, Aliyah Boston, and Sophie Cunningham stepped up in CC’s absence. This provided more recovery time for the 2024 rookie and a chance for the team to have a bit more offensive flexibility.
Still, everyone was talking about CC’s return and her need for the postseason games. A few game actions before the playoffs would also help her get into the rhythm. With just 12 games remaining before the playoffs, the Indiana Fever needed to work faster to get the team’s superstar back on the court. Until now, Stephanie White has given the doctors complete control of the situation. She mentioned that, as per the latest update, Caitlin Clark is on ‘Game Time Decision’ status.

This is a significant upgrade from the ‘day-to-day’ status, highlighting a complete recovery from her recent injury. The team is without a designated point guard following season-ending injuries to Aari McDonald and Sydney Colson. Fever signed veteran guard Odyssey Sims on a hardship contract as a backup option.
CC last played on July 15 against the Connecticut Sun and has missed 11 games, including the All-Star game. If she plays against the Wings, it will be her second encounter against Paige Bueckers’ side this season.

Caitlin Clark Receives Support From Celebrities Over Hard Fouls On Her
While the former Iowa star hadn’t missed a game in her college career and her WNBA rookie season, she took many hard fouls and faced physical plays. Many believed that these fouls and plays caused injuries to the Fever superstar.
The Wall Street Journal also covered the ‘special’ story—The WNBA and Caitlin Clark’s Civil Rights. It was about protecting the star from the league’s physicality. Stephen A. Smith supported the idea and mentioned that they might lose the case, but they have a case; they have an argument.

Moreover, stars like LeBron James and Tyrese Haliburton supported the 23-year-old star. Her teammate Sophie Cunningham also mentioned that there were special discussions in the locker rooms on how to stop CC, and players clearly hated her.
While all is said and done, fans would be excited to see CC again on the floor. The game against the Dallas Wings on August 13 might be that day.
